On September 5, the China (Shandong)-Uzbekistan Cooperation and Exchange Conference and the 10th Anniversary of the "Belt and Road" Initiative were held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Khojaev Jamshid Abdukhakimovich, and Lin Wu, Secretary of the Shandong Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress attended the event. The event was attended and signed by Zhang Haibo, member of the Standing Committee of the Shandong Provincial Party Committee and Secretary-General, and Tian Jinliang, chairman of Shandong Huke Semiconductor Research Institute Co., Ltd.

 

 

Hojaev said that at present, the two countries are cooperating in many fields, and enterprises of both sides are actively exploring prospects for cooperation. Uzbekistan attaches great importance to the development of economic, trade and investment relations with China, and the day's activities are another example of efficient bilateral cooperation between the two countries. With the active participation of Chinese enterprises, the cooperative relations between Uzbekistan and China will continue to develop.

Lin Wu delivered a keynote speech at the event. In his speech, he called for "sharing the opportunities of the Belt and Road Initiative and jointly opening up a new future for win-win cooperation." He said that the "Belt and Road" initiative has injected strong impetus into promoting world development. This event is a concrete action to implement the important consensus between the two countries, as well as a concrete action to serve and integrate into the "Belt and Road" construction and promote deepening cooperation. Shandong and Uzbekistan have close local economic, trade and cultural exchanges. Nowadays, the Qilu Eurasian train from Shandong to Uzbekistan unblocks things and builds a "steel bridge on the new Silk Road". In the fields of promoting local exchanges, expanding investment cooperation, unblocking commodity trade, and promoting people-to-people bonds, Shandong has always attached great importance to exchanges and exchanges with Uzbekistan and promoted cooperation in an all-round way. The road of cooperation between Shandong and Uzbekistan will be wider and wider, the results of cooperation will be more and more fruitful, and the future of cooperation will be more and more beautiful.

Uzbekistan is an important node on the ancient Silk Road and one of the first countries to support and actively participate in the joint construction of the "Belt and Road.
