HK7004 is an integrated low-voltage ambient light and proximity sensor, using a miniaturized leadless patch HLGA package, built-in infrared emitting laser diode (VCSEL) and I2C communication interface. Its ambient light sensing function provides reliable support for backlight brightness adjustment, and it also has infrared detection capabilities for proximity detection and gesture recognition. For the convenience of the user, it can also be set to interrupt mode.

For ambient light detection, HK7004 can maintain linearity in the dynamic range of 0.01lux to 128klux, which makes it suitable for various lighting environments, whether it is in a bright environment under direct sunlight or behind dark glass, it can maintain normal operation. A special process was added to the production process to make the spectral response curve fit the human eye characteristics perfectly.

For proximity detection, users can easily configure the drive current of the infrared emitting laser diode through the register. In addition, the HK7004 also has a built-in noise cancellation circuit to effectively filter out other infrared interference in the environment.

For the gesture recognition function, HK7004 integrates multiple photodiodes to detect the movement of objects, which can recognize gestures in the up/down and left/right directions.

The HK7004 integrates a well-designed temperature compensation circuit to make it have good temperature stability, and the internal refresh frequency can be maintained stably without external components. It can be put into standby mode by software control to save power consumption. The supply voltage range of the HK7004 is 1.7V to 3.6V.
